Both our partner SCITTs are highly regarded in the local area and nationally. Their track records of producing outstanding teachers that are immediately employed in the local area could not be better.
Poole SCITT offers a one-year postgraduate programme for primary initial teacher training, working with children aged 5-11.
Wessex Teacher Training Partnership offers a one-year postgraduate programme for secondary initial teacher training, working with children aged 11-16 in a range of subjects.

Primary
Poole SCITT is a ‘Schools-Centered Initial Teacher Training Course’ leading to a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. Created through partnerships between the participating primary schools and Kingston University, to offer initial teacher training, at primary school level, for up to 32 suitably qualified graduates. We are rated Ofsted Outstanding.
Secondary
Wessex Schools Training Partnership are an accredited training provider of School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) in Dorset. We offer initial teacher training in secondary schools and are committed to providing quality, school-based teacher training. WSTP creates a source of well qualified secondary school teachers throughout Poole and Bournemouth area.
